Karen Pickles
Karen knows what it’s like to be surrounded by others and still feel marrow-deep loneliness. She was adopted by her “meant to be” family at the age of four months and for most of her life did not know her birth mother.
Through her own personal work with Somatic Relational Trauma-informed Therapy, Karen has experienced the transformation from embodied despair into connection and belonging.
Karen offers support to clients within her scope of lived experience in adoption trauma, spiritual trauma, developmental trauma and the current trauma caused by ongoing world events. Karen is the mother of a son and a daughter.
